Founded in 2016, PODO LONDON was created for anyone looking for a natural, conservative solution to everyday body pain — from aching joints and tired muscles to recurring discomfort caused by poor posture or movement. It also supports athletes and active individuals who want to move better and perform at their best.

PODO combines expert biomechanics with personalised care, offering professional diagnosis, tailored recommendations, and custom-moulded orthotics designed specifically for each individual.

From the start, PODO’s mission has been simple: to make custom orthotics and biomechanical expertise accessible and affordable.

​Until 2021, PODO INSOLES, then PODO INSOLES 2.0, filled a gap in the market between off-the-shelf insoles and medical orthotics. These bespoke insoles were available on Bird Street (near Selfridges), in a Pilates studio in Notting Hill, and in a Barre boutique studio in Fitzrovia.

In 2021, PODO entered a new phase of development. Christophe refined the brand’s vision, applying his medical expertise to create a unique 

2-in-1 space where diagnosis and treatment of mechanical pain come together: the PODO CLINIC & WORKSHOP.

​

The development of this London clinic introduced a faster and more direct approach to patient care, with custom orthotics created within a single 90-minute appointment. Each consultation includes an in-depth discussion of the patient’s concerns, assessment of standing posture (static and dynamic), gait assessments, and biomechanical analysis. This allows for the creation of a treatment plan designed to fit comfortably into everyday footwear while being fully tailored to the patient’s lifestyle.

 

The PODO CLINIC & WORKSHOP intends to change 100 lives every month in central London.

While educating through the PODO blog and the international press, patients willing to understand their body pain,

try some tips and recommendations to make their body works better.

 

In early 2023, following a meeting at PODO with the in-house doctor and head physiotherapist of Arsenal Football Club, it became clear that having one specialist travel to a club made far more sense than asking an entire team to travel into central London. Delivering a bespoke, specialist service of this level requires not only Christophe’s expertise, but also dedicated machinery, advanced technology, and a substantial stock of materials.

Initially concerned that moving beyond a fixed clinic setting might compromise PODO’s high standards - particularly the precision moulding and craftsmanship of PODO orthotics - Christophe went to all his trusted provider in France, and met the other industry leaders in Europe to engineer solutions to every challenge associated with a mobile clinic, including volume, weight, durability, and transport capacity.

The PODO MOBILE CLINIC & WORKSHOP was officially launched on 30th December 2023 at the Clapton CFC Clubhouse, working with talented young players preparing for the 2024 PODO’S WOMEN FOOTBALL CAMPAIGN.

​

In 2024, PODO called on clubs and players to join a unique study on WOMEN’S FOOTBALL BOOTS and the higher risk of injuries affecting female players.

​

Building on this work, PODO has since broadened its focus on women’s health, openly challenging the concept of unisex footwear while supporting emerging brands dedicated to designing sports equipment specifically for women.
